Answers to Common Questions
FAQ
How is this different from a full remodel?
We specialize in “point-of-need” modifications rather than general contracting or structural renovations. We don’t do full remodels that involve moving walls or weeks of construction. Instead, most of our professional home accessibility services are completed in one day or less. We focus specifically on improving access, safety, and daily usability in key areas of the home—often without any major disruption to your routine or living space.
Who are your services designed for?
Our work is specifically designed for three main groups:
-
Proactive Planners: People who want to “age in place” and are planning for the future before a crisis occurs.
-
Reactive Safety: Individuals responding to a close call or a recent fall who need immediate intervention.
-
Transitioning Patients: Those returning home from a hospital or rehab stay who require a safe environment. We also work closely with family members, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who are helping navigate these important decisions to ensure the best possible outcome for the homeowner.
Will my home still feel like my home?
Yes. This is a core part of our approach and a top priority for our clients. Our goal is to add essential support and security without making your home feel clinical, cold, or institutional. We focus on home accessibility services that utilize high-quality materials and modern designs that blend in naturally with your existing decor, allowing you to preserve the look, feel, and personality of your private space.
How long does a typical installation take?
We respect your time and privacy, which is why we work efficiently. Many of our most common installations—such as safety grab bars, interior handrails, or modular ramps—can be completed the very same day we arrive. More complex solutions, like custom stair lifts or vertical platform lifts, may take 1–2 days. We prioritize clear communication and will always explain the exact timelines to you in advance of starting any work.
Do I need a home assessment to get started?
A home assessment helps us understand your space, but we keep the process pressure-free. You can
Can family members or caregivers be involved?
Absolutely. Safety is a team effort, so we welcome family, caregivers, and healthcare professionals into the conversation. Whether you’re working with an Occupational Therapist or a relative helping from afar, we are here to support you. You can
